From island to island, on a worn down ferry
I pray: “If we need to swim, be ready”
The wind builds up to a storm - on our boat
Tourists and backpacks all over the floor
The weather settles, sea calms down
To a colour blue so deep it’s astounding
Suddenly a scream of surprise
Dolphins to the left of us, dolphins to the right
While we’re on the face of the earth, enjoy the ride
From hard times we come into the light
Sky will break, and the storm subside
Don’t give up, you never know what you might find
So the dolphins play with our boat, in front and behind
Into and out of the water they fly
People laugh out loud - I’m mesmerized
Don’t reach for my camera, don’t ever want to close my eyes
We reach the next island, it’s so quiet
Smells of wild mint and thyme
It’s not the destination that blew our minds
It’s between stations where wonders do arise
While we’re on the face of the earth, enjoy the ride
From hard times we come into the light
Sky will break, and the storm subside
Just around the corner, you never know what you might find
